I'm so jealous of your trip this summer, I want to go back there SOOO bad! Honestly I was surprised by this, but my favorite place was Edinburgh. All of Scotland was really so beautiful, even more than I expected. I have a secret fantasy of moving there :) Are you going to have haggis???
Another unexpected thing I liked was Roslyn Chapel. I didn't really care about going there, but my husband loved the DaVinci code and wanted to see it. And I was so glad we went, even though they are trying to restore it so there was lots of scaffolding. It has a really interesting feeling there.
Sorry this comment is so long, but you got me started...in Ireland I was expecting all these cute little old people saying funny little things in their cute accents. But in Dublin at least, everyone was way young and from Eastern Europe! It was kinda crazy. We didn't really go to the west side of the country, so next time I would do that.
Anyway I am totally jealous, it sounds like you have an awesome summer ahead of you!
Hi Senta, I'm going up to Edinburgh with a friend I stayed with in Newcastle last year. We'll explore there for a few days. I will be also flying out to Dublin for a few days. I'm not sure what I'm doing there yet. As far as the book I am working on, I'll address that in a post later. I've been wondering how to to bring it up here, so . . . I'm glad you asked!!!
