I thought this was a great picture of Roger and my dad who were friends since childhood. They could have been on the cover of Rolling Stone.
After all, my dad made it to the Dead Rock Stars Club! No Kidding!
See Feb 15 posting for more about Rick Selvin.

Thanks for leaving me a note on my post about dreams! I just read your Feb 15 post about your dads, it was very touching. Your dad Rick sounds like an amazing person. Both of them do actually, you were lucky to get two good ones, eh?
About the lucid dreams, YES I have those sometimes! They are so fun! I haven't talked to too many people who understand me when I try to explain about them though :) Once in a while I wake up super early, stay up for an hour or so and then go back to bed, because that almost always makes me have one...have you ever tried that?
Hi Senta, and thanks for your post. Most people I've mentioned lucid dreaming to have no idea what I'm talking about. And when I try to explain it, they're like, "that's cool," but don't say much more than that. I am sure I have done it the way you explained, but not necessarily on purpose. However, I know that whenever I recognize the right conditions, it is like riding a wave knowing that at any moment I could fall into complete unconsciousness -- or complete non-remembrance (to coin a phrase, I guess). I like doing it because it is a challenge to keep it going --like a type of biofeedback on a dream stage.
Yeah I get the "that's cool" comment too, so I kinda stopped asking people about it, ha! Although I knew this lady once who actually bought some kind of machine to help her have lucid dreams...now there's someone who takes it seriously! I agree with you though, it's a fun challenge and I've had some pretty unforgettable dreams that way. I guess we should feel lucky we get to experience it now and then, eh?
